Mt. Beacon Fire Tower Trail is an out and back trail located near Beacon, New York that will give you a great workout with rewarding views. Most of the trail is at about a 20-40 degree incline and leads to a fire tower on top of the mountain. Those brave enough to climb to the top of the tower will get a stunning 360 degree view of the Hudson Valley. Even if you do not climb to the top of the tower, you will have a grand view of the valley. Dogs are allowed on this trail but must be kept on leash.

Meyer's Olde Dutch Food & Such is an eight minute drive from Mt. Beacon trailhead. This place is a small burger spot with local craft beers and outdoor seating area. 

As stated in their website, “We use only the finest ingredients including local food purveyors such as beef from the Hudson Valley, cheese from NY state and produce from local farmers – together with our family micro farm in Hyde Park. Our full-service bar features a large selection of NY craft beer, locally produced wine and house-crafted cocktails.”
