Yes. The hike will be cancelled or rescheduled if light to heavy rain or moderate to heavy snow is expected. All participants will be contacted via email or phone at least 24 hours in advance with the final decision. 

Will the hike be cancelled due to poor weather?


Yes. Each season in the northeast has its own beauty. We will ensure you are well prepared to hike any time of the year.

Are private guided hikes available year-round?


No. We only offer tours on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. Starting hike times are flexible and will be coordinated with your guide. 

Are private guided hikes available every day of the week?


Yes. There is a limit of 20 people per group. 

Is there a limit to the number of hikers in a group?


Do we have to sign any waivers?

Yes. Upon meeting at the trailhead, each individual is required to complete a waiver for the hike.


No. Each participant is required to provide his/her own transportation to the trailhead. Thorough directions and GPS coordinates will be provided.

Is transportation provided?


You are required to bring 1-2 liters of water in water bottles or bladder. We recommend you bring sunglasses, sunscreen, and camera. Additional items of consideration are trekking poles, lip balm, bug repellent, knee braces (if needed), prescription medicine (inform us of any medications you are taking), money for tipping your trip leader (optional but appreciated, generally 10-15% of your trip cost based upon the quality of your experience).

What do you recommend we bring?


We highly recommend you wear a sturdy pair of hiking shoes or hiking boots. Non-cotton clothing layers are preferred. Dress accordingly based on weather conditions. Additional items of consideration are gloves, hats, bandanas, fleece, rain proof jacket.

What do you recommend we wear?


We recommend that children be age 12 or older to participate. If your child is under the age of 12 please give us a call and we will work with you to make a responsible choice.

Is there an age limit for hiking participants? 


If the trail permits, then you will be able to bring your dog. However, the dog must be kept on leash.

Are pets allowed on the hikes?


Tipping your trip leader is completely optional, but greatly appreciated. It is generally 10-15% of your trip cost based upon the quality of your experience.
